Gardening roles for volunteers aged 16+ . Great if you have experience, otherwise an enthusiasm and open to learn. This will be in a group setting

We are looking for volunteers to help throughout the year (weather permitted). Times can be flexible but we also need  volunteers who can help on a set date/time along with others to do a bigger tidy up and sorting out of the garden. This is usually prior to the school holidays in preparation for lots of activity in the garden.

This garden is used for children and young people with additional support needs and also accessed by families, it is a great space for lots of different activities..

We can support volunteers from aged 16+ to help do some gardening at our Dundee office at Fleuchar Street. The garden needs general maintenance  (weeding, pruning bushes etc). Having a passion and interest in gardening is valuable with some level of experience, however just being willing to learn can be just as helpful!

We also sometimes have opportunities where we run groups in the garden that volunteer gardeners can support the children in the garden (along with other volunteers and staff).

All volunteers will go through an induction process (which takes around 8 weeks) which includes reference checks and PVG Disclosure check) alongside some training. All volunteers are supported during the induction, and as a volunteer by the volunteer coordinator.
