A cuppa, a chat and a friendly face can make someone's day! Volunteer at Boomerang's Cosy Café and help create a warm, welcoming community space.
Our Cosy Café is about much more than tea and toast.
It's a welcoming space where people can meet others, enjoy a friendly conversation and feel part of their community.
We're looking for friendly, approachable volunteers to help us provide a warm welcome to everyone who comes through the door.
As a Cosy Café Volunteer, you could be involved in:
- Helping set up the café each morning.
- Preparing and serving tea, coffee and toast.
- Welcoming visitors and chatting with those attending.
- Helping people feel comfortable and included.
- Signposting visitors to other activities and support where appropriate.
- Clearing tables, washing dishes and tidying up.
No previous experience is necessary. We're simply looking for people who enjoy meeting others, have a friendly manner and are happy to help.
For some visitors, a friendly conversation might be the highlight of their day, so this role can make a real difference in reducing loneliness and social isolation.
When: Monday–Friday, approximately 9:30am–12pm.
