Love cooking or helping in the kitchen? Join Boomerang's friendly kitchen team and help prepare nutritious meals for people in our community!

Our kitchen is at the heart of Boomerang, preparing freshly cooked meals for our popular Lunch Club and providing food and snacks for other activities.

We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help our Cook and kitchen team prepare and serve meals in a friendly, supportive environment.

As a Kitchen Assistant Volunteer, you could be involved in:

  • Helping prepare ingredients and meals.
  • Assisting with food preparation and serving.
  • Preparing snacks for our children's activities.
  • Setting tables and preparing the dining area.
  • Washing dishes and cleaning kitchen equipment.
  • Keeping food preparation areas clean and organised.
  • Following food hygiene and safety procedures.

You don't need to be an experienced cook! We're looking for people who enjoy working as part of a team and are happy to lend a hand.

Food hygiene guidance and relevant training opportunities will be provided.

This is a rewarding opportunity to develop practical skills while helping us provide affordable, nutritious meals and a welcoming social environment.

When: Weekdays, primarily mornings and lunchtimes.
