Help young people have fun, build confidence and develop new skills! Join Boomerang's youth team and support our games, art and creative activities.
At Boomerang, we provide safe, welcoming and inclusive activities where children and young people can make friends, try new things and build confidence.
We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our Youth & Families team in delivering engaging activities for local young people.
As a Youth Group Volunteer, you could be involved in:
- Helping set up and tidy away activities.
- Supporting games, arts, crafts and creative projects.
- Encouraging young people to participate and try new things.
- Helping create a positive, welcoming environment.
- Supporting young people to develop confidence and social skills.
- Working alongside staff and other volunteers to deliver enjoyable sessions.
- Following safeguarding procedures and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
You don't need previous youth work experience, but you should enjoy working with young people and have a patient, encouraging and inclusive approach.
You'll receive guidance and support from our experienced staff team, and appropriate safeguarding checks will be undertaken.
Current sessions include:
- Wednesday Games Group: 3:30pm–5pm.
- Friday Art Group: 3:30pm–5pm.
There may also be opportunities to support additional activities and seasonal events.
