The Feeling Strong Cafe is a weekly safe space for young people to hang out somewhere warm, play board and video games, colour, draw, and have a hot drink.
Main purpose of role:
The Feeling Strong Cafe is a weekly safe space for young people to hang out somewhere warm, play board games and video games, colour and draw, and have something to eat and drink. Young people also have the option to talk to staff and volunteers about anything that is bothering them, and receive appropriate support through signposting. In this role you will learn about our reporting processes, such as impact measurement and emergency reporting, as well as developing your skills working with small and large groups of people.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
1. Help with setting up and taking down of the session.
2. Facilitate the overall running of the session, ensuring all young people feel included and comfortable.
3. Adhere to safeguarding policies where relevant.
4. Undergoing any training as required by the role/requested by the organisation.
